Who We Are

Edgewood is an AI platform built for small business owners, solopreneurs, and freelancers. Questions about this policy can be directed to our Contact page.

What We Collect

When you talk with the Trailfinder (Discovery):

• Email address — provided voluntarily, used to follow up about your conversation or add you to our waitlist.
• Business name — optional.
• Session timestamp
• A generated report — based on what you share during the Discovery conversation. Stored securely and used only by the Edgewood team. Not shared with third parties.

When you join the waitlist:

• Email address only.

When you create an account with the Tech Forester (Development):

• Email address and name — used to create and manage your account.
• Thread history and messages — your conversations with the Tech Forester are stored so you can return to them across sessions.
• Workspace files — documents you upload or URLs you submit are stored and processed to support your implementation work.
• User preferences — settings like notification preferences tied to your account.
• Session activity — a record of meaningful events in your sessions, used to support continuity across conversations.

What We Do Not Collect

• Payment or financial information — payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers or financial data.
• Government-issued ID or sensitive personal identifiers
• Health or medical information
• Data from minors — this service is intended for adults operating a business

How We Use Your Information

• To operate Discovery and Development and deliver their core functionality
• To follow up about your Discovery conversation
• To send waitlist and product updates
• To improve the quality of our products over time
• To understand, at an aggregate level, who Edgewood is built for

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell it. Ever.

How We Improve Our Recommendations

We retain fully anonymized, aggregated data about the types of recommendations made through our platform — including which recommendations users accepted or declined, and the general category of business involved. This data is stripped of any connection to individual users or sessions before it is stored. It is used solely to improve the accuracy and relevance of Edgewood's recommendations over time. It is not shared with third parties and is never used to identify you.

Where Your Data Lives

Discovery session data and waitlist signups are stored in Supabase and captured in a private internal log. Development account data — including messages, uploaded files, and workspace content — is stored in Supabase. This data may be accessed by Edgewood only for the purpose of diagnosing technical issues, responding to support requests, or ensuring platform integrity. We do not monitor user conversations as a matter of routine practice.

Development account data — including your messages, uploaded files, and workspace content — is stored in Supabase. Uploaded files are stored in a private, user-scoped storage environment and are permanently deleted from storage when you remove them.

All infrastructure is hosted by established third-party services operating under their own security and privacy standards.

AI Processing

Edgewood uses third-party AI services to power its products. Here is what each handles and why:

• Anthropic — processes document uploads (PDF, DOCX, TXT) to generate summaries that help the Tech Forester understand your business context.
• Google — processes image uploads (PNG, JPG, WEBP) for the same purpose.
• Perplexity — handles Development conversation routing and researches AI tools relevant to your implementation.

We do not share your information with these providers beyond what is necessary to deliver the service. We do not permit them to use your data for their own training or marketing purposes.

How Long We Keep It

We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Discovery session data and waitlist signups are retained for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted unless you have created a Development account. If you would like your information removed sooner, see below.

Security and Breach Notification

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users within a reasonable timeframe — and no later than 72 hours after becoming aware of the breach — with information about what occurred and what steps we are taking.

Your Rights

You can request that we:

• Tell you what information we have about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your information entirely

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate this platform. Each operates under its own privacy policy.

• Supabase — database and file storage
• Vercel — hosting and deployment
• Anthropic — AI document processing
• Google — AI image processing
• Perplexity — AI conversation routing and research
• Resend — transactional email delivery to the Edgewood team (internal operational use only; your email address is not passed to Resend)
• Google Sheets — internal waitlist logging; stores email addresses submitted to the waitlist for Edgewood's operational use only
• Stripe — payment processing for paid services

We do not use third-party advertising or tracking services.

Cookies and Tracking

We do not currently use cookies or analytics tracking. If that changes, this policy will be updated.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we will update this page and revise the date above. If you have a Development account, we will also notify you by email.
