Edgewood is an AI platform built for small businesses, solopreneurs, and freelancers. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website, the Trailfinder's Discovery conversation, and the Tech Forester — our AI-powered implementation product — available at withedgewood.com. By using this site or any of our services, you agree to these terms.

Who Can Use This Service

You must be at least 18 years old to use this site or any of our services. By using this service, you represent that you are an adult using it in connection with a legitimate business or professional interest.

Our services are designed for businesses and individuals actively working to implement AI tools into their operations. They are not intended for personal use, academic research, or any purpose unrelated to genuine business evaluation or implementation.

What Discovery (the Trailfinder) Is — and Is Not

The Trailfinder facilitates a structured Discovery conversation to help the Edgewood team understand your business situation. Based on that conversation, we generate an internal report used solely by our team to determine whether a follow-up engagement makes sense for you and to prepare for a call if one is warranted.

The Trailfinder is not a business advisor, consultant, attorney, financial advisor, or professional service of any kind. Nothing said during a Discovery conversation constitutes professional advice. Any decisions you make based on your experience with the Trailfinder are made at your own discretion and risk.

Participation in a Discovery conversation does not guarantee a follow-up call, a recommendation, a business outcome, or any result whatsoever.

What Development (the Tech Forester) Is — and Is Not

The Tech Forester is an AI-powered implementation assistant. It helps you identify, set up, and integrate AI tools into your business operations based on your specific situation and goals.

What the Tech Forester delivers is implementation assistance — guidance, context, and support through the process of adopting new tools. The Tech Forester is not responsible for the performance, reliability, or outcomes of any third-party tools it helps you implement. If a tool you implement does not produce the results you hoped for, that is a function of that tool and your business context — not a failure of the Tech Forester's service.

The Tech Forester works best when you engage honestly and give it the context it needs to give you accurate guidance. The quality of recommendations is directly tied to the quality of information you provide.

The Tech Forester is not a business advisor, consultant, attorney, financial advisor, or professional service of any kind. Nothing in a Development session constitutes professional advice.

Accounts

To access Development, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately via our Contact page if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may not create an account on behalf of someone else or share your account with others.

Payments and Billing

Strategy Call

The Strategy Call is a one-time purchase. All sales are final. No refunds.

Development Subscription

Development is offered as a subscription-based product. By subscribing, you authorize recurring billing at the rate presented at the time of purchase. Your subscription continues until you cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will not be charged again, but no refund is issued for the current period.

Lifetime Access

Where a lifetime access option is offered, it is a one-time purchase. All sales are final. No refunds.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment information. By completing a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.

File Uploads

The Tech Forester allows you to upload documents and other files to support your implementation work. By uploading content, you represent that you have the right to do so and that your uploads comply with applicable law.

You are responsible for the content you upload. Uploaded files are processed by third-party AI services to generate summaries that support your Development experience. Your content is not used to train AI models.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use this service honestly and in good faith. The following are not permitted:

• Providing false or intentionally misleading information
• Using any part of this service for purposes other than genuine business evaluation or implementation
• Attempting to manipulate, test, or probe any part of the platform for competitive or research purposes
• Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with any part of this service
• Uploading content that is illegal, harmful, or that you do not have the right to share
• Any use that violates applicable law or the rights of others

Intellectual Property

All content, design, methodology, and technology on this site — including but not limited to the Trailfinder's Discovery process, the Tech Forester's implementation architecture, output formats, and the brand name "Edgewood" — are the exclusive property of Edgewood and are protected by applicable intellectual property law.

You may not:

• Reproduce, copy, or replicate any part of this platform or its methodology
• Attempt to reverse engineer how any part of this service works
• Use the name "Edgewood," our logo, or any of our marks without prior written permission
• Frame, scrape, or systematically extract content from this site

AI Processing and Third-Party Services

Our services are powered by third-party AI providers. Your content is processed by these services solely to deliver the functionality of our platform. We do not share your information with AI providers beyond what is necessary to operate the service. Your content is not used to train AI models.

We use the following third-party services to operate this platform. Each operates under its own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these providers.

• Supabase — database and file storage
• Vercel — hosting and deployment
• Anthropic — AI document processing
• Google — AI image processing
• Perplexity — AI conversation routing and research
• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email
• Google Sheets — internal waitlist logging

Disclaimers

This service is provided "as is" and without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We make no guarantee that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or available at any particular time.

AI-generated responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, or not suited to your specific situation. They are not a substitute for professional judgment.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Edgewood is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of this service — including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or business decisions made in connection with your use of the Trailfinder or the Tech Forester.

Your use of this service is at your own risk.

Access and Termination

We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to this service for any reason, at any time, without notice. This includes violations of these terms or use we determine, in our sole discretion, to be harmful, dishonest, or inconsistent with the purpose of this service.

Upon termination, your data will be retained for a reasonable period as necessary for legitimate purposes including abuse prevention and legal compliance, and then deleted.

Cookies

We do not currently use cookies for advertising or behavioral tracking. If that changes, this page and our Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect it.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
